Cast Plaques
The A.R.K. Difference: Cast Plaques
A.R.K. Ramos has been casting plaques in our Oklahoma City foundry for over seventy-five years. In that time we have developed a tried and true process that has evolved to perfection. Our cast metal plaques combine text and graphics in ways that can tell your client’s story in gorgeous bronze, brass, aluminum or white bronze. We can duplicate almost any typestyle or graphic that can be provided to us in vector form. These technologies, along with state-of-the-art equipment bring beautiful creations in cast metals to life.
We work with a variety of cast metals for our plaques, particularly with bronze, brass, and aluminum. Finishes range from satin aluminum to mirror brass and bronze, with everything in between including multi-color painted, clear anodized, and duranodic color anodized finishes.
From Molten Metal to Legacy Memorial
Every cast plaque project that comes through our doors is meticulously crafted, from initial quote to shipping, we’ve created a process that ensures our cast metals allow your business signage to stand the test of time.
-
After your project is confirmed, we get started by creating a design that reflects the needs of your piece. From text to logos to artwork, we make sure every detail is accounted for and laid out well.
-
The design is then used to make a pattern, often crafted from wood, that then serves as the template for the mold. The mold is crafted to capture the intricate details of the design, ensuring precision in the final casting.
-
Molten metal, such as bronze or aluminum, is poured into the mold. Before becoming cast metal, the molten metal is incredibly fluid, flowing to every part of the mold and capturing the fine details of the design.
-
Once the metal solidifies, the mold is carefully broken away, revealing the rough cast plaque. The cast metal plaque design is visible, but still quite rough around the edges and needs human touch and a bit of elbow grease.
-
After removal, the cast plaque is cleaned and polished. Any additional details that need extra refining are addressed at this point. Depending on your project, we’ll also add additional coatings at this step.
-
Before we install or deliver, each cast plaque undergoes a thorough inspection to ensure quality of your project! We’ll refer back to your original project specs to ensure we’ve exceeded your expectations.
-
Now, it’s time to ship! We ship all of our products worldwide. Each product comes with a mounting template that identifies the stud locations on each piece so that your installation is efficient and clean.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
We manufacture cast plaques primarily in bronze, brass, and aluminum. Bronze is a popular choice for outdoor and memorial plaques due to its durability and traditional appearance, while brass is more common for interior signage. Aluminum is lighter weight and a great choice for larger plaque sizes. Our team can help recommend the best metal based on your project, design goals, and installation needs.
-
Bronze is an alloy of copper and tin and is known for its long-term durability and resistance to corrosion, which makes it popular for outdoor use. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, which gives it a brighter, gold-like appearance. While brass is durable, too, it’s better suited for indoor or low-exposure environments.
