Reverse Channel Letters Process
Every reverse channel letters project that comes through our doors is meticulously crafted, from initial quote to shipping, we’ve created a process that ensures your metal signage not only lasts, but makes an impression.

After your project is confirmed, we get started by creating a design that reflects the needs of your piece. From text to logos to artwork, we make sure every detail is accounted for and laid out well.

The design first manifests in the back plate. We cut the backer out of .090 aluminum. This piece gives the letter its shape and strength. Reverse channel letters are built backward, so this “back plate” actually ends up be the smooth, solid front of the letters.

Using .063 aluminum, we form the sides of the letter, also known as “returns.” These are bent just inside the edge of the backer to match the shape of the letter.

Once the the sides or returns are shaped around the backer, we weld the two pieces together as close to the edge as possible. This creates a hollow letter with a sealed metal front and an open back.

After welding, we grind the seams for a smooth finish and trim the backer flush to the returns. After the letters are complete, we work on your unique features like installing LEDs in the letters and any paint colors you may have chosen.

Before we deliver, each project undergoes a thorough inspection to ensure quality of your project! We’ll refer back to your original project specs to ensure we’ve exceeded your expectations.

Now, it’s time to ship! We ship all of our products worldwide. Each product comes with a mounting template that identifies the stud locations on each piece so that your installation is efficient and clean.
